The mood of American consumers has not change in May – the regular monthly survey of the Michigan University reveals, whose preliminary results were published on Friday.
The consumer mood index stagnated at 98.8 points. Analysts expected a slight deterioration of 98.5 points.
Among the sub-indices, the consumer expectations for the next six months rose to 89.5 points from the 88.4 points of April, while the sub-index reflecting the current situation fell from 114.9 points to 113.3 points. (MTI)
