No more secrets at IKEA
After seventy years of existence, IKEA announced its results for the first time. The world's largest furniture trade chain is a family owned business, so the owner can be secretive.
IKEA operates 280 stores in 26 countries throughout the world. The company performed well despite the economic crisis, increasing its profit from 2.3 billion euros to 2.5 billion euros, between August 2009 and September 2008. The turnover also increased by 1.4 percent to 21.8 billion euros – reports penzcentrum.hu.
