A decreasing interest on cereals
According to the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture; wheat’s price is 30 thousand HUF per tonne due to the small demand for grain.
The price of autumn barley is only 25 thousand HUF per tonne. According to the report of the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture; the neighboring countries has a minimal demand for cereals and there is a decrease in business contracts. The quality of wheat harvested is variable at different areas, but said to be mediocre. The expected rate of the mill-quality wheat is 65 percent, the other 35 percent is of feed quality.
