Quiznos brand was established in 1978 and in 30 years it has become the 28th biggest restaurant chain in the USA. After its peak in 2008 (there were 5,000 units with a USD 2 billion turnover the company started to perform badly and in early 2012 it had less than 3,000 restaurants. A new management came, which lowered franchise right prices and started aggressive expansion. Now the company would like to sell the master franchise rights in Hungary, they are looking for an enterprise with experience in the restaurant and real estate businesses – which would also do the marketing-communication work in the domestic market at its own expense.
