The import ban will have no significant impact on the Hungarian economy
According to macroeconomic analysts, interviewed by MTI, the Russian import ban will have no significant impact on the economic growth of Hungary.
According to Németh Dávid, senior analyst of the K&H Bank, if the export of agricultural products to Russia would completely eliminated it would cause a 0.2 percentage point drop in the gross domestic product (GDP) growth on an annual basis. However, the analyst said that the impact will be even smaller than expected, because these products can be marketed in other markets, or in Hungary. (MTI)
