Inflation will not slow down in the near future
Inflation is not slowing down, the Central Statistical Office recorded a record increase of 7.9% in January. This is half a percentage point more than the peak in November-December last year, which has not happened in Hungary in more than a decade. Although the population had hoped that 2022 would bring about a reduction as soon as possible, it is not yet known what effect the price stoppage, which will come into force from 1 February, will have – the statistics may be improved, but the question is to what extent it will prevent the increase.
