Foxpost customers needn’t worry after hacking
After the hacker attack in October, Foxpost strongly defended the privacy of its customers and immediately cooperated with the authorities to investigate the matter. During the attack, a hacker hacked Foxpost’s system and threatened to publish and sell the company’s data.
The Economic Crimes Department of the BRFK immediately stepped in and is currently investigating the case. The CEO of Foxpost, Ádám Bengyel, firmly stated that they are not willing to give in to blackmail. He emphasized that the company takes every step for data protection and the security of their system.
Despite the attack, customer service and business remained uninterrupted. Foxpost pointed out that the data stolen by the attacker did not allow direct damage, and emphasized that no important information such as login data, passwords or webshop order data. In addition, the company never asks users for bank card details.
