Union did not support the Hungarian applicants to withdraw the fruit and vegetable surplus
The Hungarian applicants will not receive EU support to withdraw their fruit and vegetable surplus from the markets, because the 125 million euros support amount ran out, so the proposal was suspended by the EU on 10 September – the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (MVH) told MTI.
The European Union has adopted emergency measures on 1 September in order to withdraw the excess quantities of products from the market, thereby reducing the damage of the farmers.
The Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture has created the national rules necessary for the implementation of the action and pointed out that it is appropriate to apply as soon as possible, because the European Union gives the support in the source of the incoming requests. (MTI)
