We hardly use mobile payment apps
The first mobile shopping and payment apps appeared in Hungary only a few years ago and the majority of consumers still don’t use them. Only 8 percent of online buyers gave payment apps a try and 70 percent of these people used them only once – reports FinTech Group and GKI Digital’s study from December 2015 (conducted with 2,000 participants). The best-know mobile payment apps are OTP Bank’s OTPay and Magyar Telekom’s MobileWallet app.
