We do not care if the food is expired
The latest online survey of the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH) reveals how consumers behave in Hungary, when they find expired food products in the stores. The end result is clear and surprising!
More than half of respondents (55 percent) do not care if find expired products on the shelf. Because they believe that the stocks are quickly replaced, so they put it back without a word. A 42 percent of the shoppers are much more conscious and indicates the problem to the staff. Only 3 percent of the respondents are calling the NÉBIH to request an investigation.
Anyone can report on the Green number of NÉBIH (06 80 263 244) if substandard products were found.
