No reduction in the proportion of regular smokers
The government’s anti-smoking measures seem to be useless: cigarettes are getting more and more expensive, and the smokers can smoke in fewer and fewer places. However, there is no reduction in the proportion of regular smokers, and more young people are smoke cigarettes than six years ago – index wrote after Népszabadság.
According to the official figures there is drop in traffic, but it is only due to the black market, where the smugglers hit the jackpot. The newspaper wrote that the black market’s share has increased over ten percent, which represents sales of around 50 billion HUF. (index Népszabadság)
