Certification slowdown causes problems in seed exports
Field seed certification and document issuance slowed significantly in the recent period. This threatens the 40 billion HUF worth Hungarian exports of seed – agrarszektor.hu wrote.
As a result of the government measures intend to reduce bureaucracy, the number of professionals dealing with seed certification at the county government offices, and the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH), so the processing time significantly increased as well. It is feared that the large international companies – mainly in the corn sector – will carry the seed production to other countries, if the official processing time will not decrease.
