The security sector takes a while to bounce back to the pre-covid setting
The re-opening of tourism, hospitality and the events-sector, the security sector faces serious challenge, which has not been seen for more than a year. However, the segment has suffered a lot in recent times, so experts fear a deterioration in standards and a re-“blackening” of the sector.
“Before the covid-outbreak, the domestic wealth of approximately 80,000 had now been reduced to about 75,000. This is not a dramatic difference in itself, but if we add that, in the meantime, we have a conservative estimate of more than 40% fluctuation, during which a lot of well-trained professionals have left the field, it is clear that there are significant risks in the current situation when demand suddenly is huge”,Ferenc Német, Vice-President of the Professional Association for Personal, Property Protection and Private Investigators (SZVMSZK).
