According to a survey, sports tourism revenues can be quadrupled within a few years
Within a few years, the revenue from sports tourism can be quadrupled. Budapest, with its current sports infrastructure investments can benefit from the favorable process – according to the survey of BDO Magyarország sent to MTI.
The revenue generated by sports tourism worldwide is estimated at about 1.5 billion euros, and the market research firm, based at Technavio, London, predicts that this amount could rise to four times by 2021. In addition to football, major international competitions are the main drivers of sports tourism, which can make a big profit for Budapest in this segment. (MTI)
