Forty-five thousand dollars for two melons
Two melons were auctioned in Yubari, Japan, and the bidding was stopped by the first customer because the buyer offered 45,000 dollars – origo wrote.

According to Fox News, the auction was at the end of May, and the buyer was an employee of a melon soft drink company and paid a total of 45,000 USD or 12.7 million forints for two melons. (origo)
