Forty-seven tons of cargo was withdrawn by inspectors
During the first phase of the winter food chain control – which took place between November 21 and December 4 – food security professionals withdrew a total of 46.7 tonnes of food from circulation – told Kardeván Endre, State Secretary ofthe Ministry of Rural Development (VM) responible for food chain surveillance and agri management on Thursday, to journalists in the Central Market Hall in Budapest.
He added that the the first stage of control – the work is coordinated by the Agricultural Office (MgSzH) – and the food inspectors conducted 1,954 inspections. This is more than 18 thousand food inspection. 1.8 percent of the proructs were withdrawn from the market – 46.7 tons – in a value of 13 million HUF. (MTI)
