US consumer mood is on a four month peak
The consumer sentiment in the United States is on its four month peak in May, according to the regular monthly survey of the University of Michigan. The results were published on Friday.
In May, the final consumer mood index rose to 97.1 points from the 97.0 points of April.
Analysts expected a final score of 97.0 points in May.
Among the sub-indices, the consumer expectations for the next six months rose from the 87.0 of April to 87.7 points in May, and the sub-index reflecting the current situation dropped from 112.7 to 111.7 points. (MTI)
