Euro area’s GDP growth is on a four-year low in the fourth quarter
Economic growth in the euro area fell to a four-year low in the fourth quarter of last year, according to the final figures of the European Union Statistical Office, Eurostat, released on Thursday. Hungary’s GDP growth was the second largest in the EU in an annual comparison.
In the fourth quarter of 2018, the seasonally adjusted domestic GDP increased by 0.2 percent in the 19 Member States of the euro area and by 0.3 percent in the EU-28.
The 0.2 percent GDP growth of the fourth quarter of 2018 is the lowest since the second quarter of 2014. (MTI)
