Budapest Wholesale Market is 25 years old
Budapest Wholesale Market, Hungary’s biggest fruit and vegetable wholesaler, opened its gates in the summer of 1991. CEO Zoltán Házi told that in the last 25 years the market’s infrastructure and services satisfied the needs of both buyers and sellers at the highest level. The market’s share in Hungary’s total fresh fruit and vegetable retail sales is 35-40 percent. 25,000m² of warehouse and cold storage space, 5,500m² of banana ripening and cold storage units, 120 covered and 1,200 open-air seller stands are waiting for 250 wholesale businesses and farmers.
