Three out of four Hungarians are regular coffee-drinkers
Over 76 percent of the Hungarian population is a regular coffee-drinker, and most people – especially those over 30 – tend to drink more than one cup a day.
The favourite kind of coffee is espresso, people love it to such an extent that they do not even pay attention to prices – a survey ordered by Nespresso claims. It seems that age makes Hungarians even more ardent coffee-lovers. People under 30 barely drink coffee, but those older than 30 tend to drink more cups a day. Most ardent coffee-drinkers are consumers between 40-60, however, the three-quarter of those over 60 drink a cup a day, too. Coffee-consumption is not much affected by wage: those with a low income drink almost exactly the same amount of coffee than people with high or mid-category wages (27-33 percent).
