Four to six hundred festivals in Hungary

According to datas of the Central Statistical Office, 4.2 percent of the foreigners comes to Hungary to attend a festival.

Hungary is the country of festivals. On the list of associations organizing national festivals approximately 300 national festivals are mentioned, but together with the registration free two-or multi-day programs for at least ten thousands attendees, it can be up to 400 to 600. The number of smaller events is estimated to six thousand. Most of these are folk art and culinary events, however, the most visited events are the art and music programs.
