HELL ENERGY received four independent professional awards
In recent weeks, HELL ENERGY’s attitude-shaping campaign, HELLoALU, has won four independent professional awards, and in addition to three domestic recognitions, it was also the only Hungarian company to receive an international award for social responsibility and sustainability, the Global Good Awards. HELL ENERGY’s CSR campaign launched last year aims to draw consumers’ attention to the benefits of aluminum packaging and the importance of keeping it in circulation in a playful and interactive way.
One of the greatest sustainability challenges of our time is the recycling and recycling of packaging into the economy. According to Eurostat data, every Hungarian currently produces 155 kg of packaging waste per year, of which just over half (52.4%) is recycled. The seriousness of the problem is clearly indicated by the fact that, in order to reduce the amount of packaging waste that ends up in landfills, a new beverage packaging redemption system will come into effect in our country from January 1, 2024, which will motivate consumers more than before to return glass, metal and plastic bottles. However, in addition to legal regulations, it is essential that there are companies and organizations that draw attention to the importance of recycling with activities and educational programs.
“We have always said that we must act not only when the laws and regulations oblige us to do so, we must not only talk about sustainability and a sustainable future, but also do something about it. That’s why we chose aluminum beverage cans over PET years ago as the packaging material for our products, since aluminum can be recycled endlessly and without loss of quality with proper collection and treatment.
– said Eszter Mihály, head of HELL ENERGY CSR.
