Euro area GDP growth is on a four-year low
In the fourth quarter of last year, economic growth in the euro area stagnated at a four-year nadir, according to a preliminary estimate of the European Union’s Statistical Office, Eurostat, published on Thursday.
Compared to the previous quarter, gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 0.2 percent in the euro area in the fourth quarter, compared to the previous quarter on a quarterly basis at the same pace as in the third quarter. Quarterly GDP growth was 0.4 percent in the first and second quarters. (MTI)
