Economic sentiment is on a four-year low in the euro area, according to ifo’s survey
The economic sentiment for the first quarter in the euro area fell to a four-year low, according to an analysis by the University of Munich’s Ifo Institute for Economic Research – published on Monday.
In the ifo World Economic Survey (WES) survey, the economic sentiment index of the euro area dropped to minus 11.1 points in the first quarter from the from the 6.6 points of the fourth quarter of 2018. The indicator fell below zero for the first time since 2014. (MTI)
