Nébih: high levels of formaldehyde dissolution from a Chinese coffee mug were measured
The Polish authority measured high levels of formaldehyde dissolution from a Chinese cup of melamine-containing bamboo fiber. The product was also shipped to Hungary. The National Food Chain Safety Authority (Nebih) is asking that anyone who has purchased such a mug do not use it.
The product is a melamine portable coffee mug with bamboo fiber sold by KIK stores with item number 71646971 and RASFF reference number 2019.2926. The Office was informed of the incident through the European Commission’s Rapid Alert System (RASFF). (MTI)
