Nébih stands for glyphosate
Hungary supports the extension of EU authorization of the pesticide active substance glyphosate for professional reasons – according to the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) – agrarszektor.hu wrote.
Nébih and the Ministry of Agriculture agree with the claim that glyphosate can not be classified as a presumably carcinogenic substance, so Hungary will also vote on the renewal of the license at the November meeting of the so-called Appeals Committee. However, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) anti-cancer agency has classified the active substance as carcinogenic, and many in the EU are urging immediate bans. (agrarszektor.hu)
