NÉBIH: Farmers have to use protection against the US grape cicada in time

The golden jaundice disease carried by the US grape cicada may destroy even the entire grape plantation.

The insect is difficult to be identified at first because it is similar to other cicadas, so it is worth to ask for professional help. Most of them can be found on the lower leaves of the grapes – Jordán László, conservation Deputy Chairman of the National Food Chain Safety Office’s (NÉBIH) Plant, soil and forest directorate told M1 news channel on Monday.
