Nébih: a bi-monthly investigation was ruined by the news coverage on horse meat scandal

The independent investigation of the press and the recently published news baffled the two monthly jointly investigation of the National Food Chain Safety Office and other authorities – Oravecz Márton, President of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih), told kormany.hu.

He described that the National Food Chain Safety Office continuously monitors the domestic and foreign shipments of meat, slaughterhouses, breeders, traders and commercial units. The recently published press reports on the horse meat scandal, however, made the controls and investigations more difficult. (MTI)
