Nébih: the botulism in Békés county did not affect the food chain
The examination on botulism disease in Békés county has completed. It was found that the botulism did not affect the food chain – said the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) on Thursday.
The office in its communication reminds: a woman in Békés county was hospitalized with the symptoms of the most severe food poisoning, botulism on 11 September 2012. The testing of foods involved was completed by the Nébih, while the examination of the food chain also took place. During the investigation process – as a precaution – several food products were locked, but the laboratory tests became negative – states Nébih in its communication.
