NÉBIH: the flooding of the River Danube caused 2.3 billion HUF damage to the farmers
According to the aggregate datas of the the National Food Chain Safety Office (NÉBIH), the Danube flood in June caused damages to 565 producers in a value of 2.3 billion HUF.
According to the communication of the Ministry of Rural Development (VM) sent to MTI on Friday, damages occurred at 9606 hectares of farmland. The largest damaged areas can be found in Győr-Moson-Sopron county, where 28 percent of the total area was damaged. This ratio is 26 percent in Pest county, 16 percent in Bács-Kiskun county, and 10 percent in Fejér county. (MTI)
