NAV seized more than 5.3 billion HUF worth untaxed cigarettes
Employees of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) seized a total of 2.8 million boxes of unsealed cigarettes at a port in Tolna County and a warehouse in Pest County, the retail value of which exceeds 5.3 billion HUF, Director of the Transdanubian Criminal Directorate of NAV said at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday.
Lieutenant Colonel Drabos Imre added that all this caused the budget a 3.8 billion HUF property disadvantage in VAT and excise taxes. The case was investigated on suspicion of committing budget fraud and money laundering. (MTI)
