NAV: around five thousand fake perfumes were found in a shop in the Far East of Budapest
About 5,000 fake perfumes were found in a shop in the Far East of Budapest, proceedings were initiated in the case for violation of industrial property rights – the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) informed MTI on Friday.
According to the announcement, the financial inspectors seized 4,691 pieces of infringing perfumes, which caused more than eighty million forints in damage to the rights holders.
Perfumes were offered for sale from HUF 1,500 to HUF 5,000. The product range also included products that carried several different brands at the same time.
The stock of goods was also examined by the representatives of the right owners of the products and confirmed the suspicion of the patrols, according to which the products are fakes of poor quality.
NAV’s priority task is to filter out fake products from the market, because they not only cause significant damage to economic operators, but can also pose a health or quality risk to customers, they wrote.
