NAV: Tax inspectors found nearly three thousand fake perfumes in a Bulgarian truck
The tax inspectors found nearly three thousand fake perfumes in a Bulgarian truck on the M5 motorway, the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) told MTI on Wednesday.
According to their statement, the patrols checked a Bulgarian truck in the late evening hours, which according to the papers was transporting collectibles (including cosmetics) from Bulgaria to France.
As they wrote, the pallets on the platform, wrapped in black foil, contained perfumes with trademarks of various world brands, which turned out to be counterfeits. This caused about 150 million forints in damage to the rights holders, they added.
The tax inspectors seized the 2,986 fake perfumes and initiated proceedings for the crime of violating industrial property rights.
