NAV: Several pounds of frozen food found in a Budapest warehouse was destroyed
Among spare tires, used furniture and clothes, the financial inspectors of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) Directorate of Operations found several kilograms of frozen food in a warehouse in Budapest; they ordered the destruction of the food.
The NAV told MTI on Monday that the financial inspectors found the Far Eastern stuffed dumplings, meat products and Mirelit vegetables in a room unsuitable for storing food, on the floor of the dirty, unrefrigerated warehouse, and stacked in boxes.
The patrols immediately notified the employees of the relevant government agency, who determined that there was no equipment available for freezing or cooling the animal and other products found at the site, and the hygienic conditions were not considered adequate.
They added that they ordered the destruction of all food without delay.
