NAV: almost 2 billion HUF worth of counterfeit products were withdrawn from the market by August
The National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) withdrew almost 2 billion HUF worth of counterfeit products from the market by August: about 71,000 items of clothing, more than 25,000 pairs of footwear, more than 11,000 boxes of perfume and almost 9,000 liters of detergent, the tax office told MTI on Friday.
Compared to previous years, the amount of counterfeit goods has not increased this year, however, while in 2019 camouflage perfumes were the most popular in addition to copies of electronic articles, by 2020 counterfeit clothes came to the fore. This product group accounted for three-quarters of the volume of goods seized until August. (MTI)
