NAV: 1,050 packs of cigarettes with Bulgarian stamps were found in a van
Employees of the National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) found 1,050 packs of cigarettes with Bulgarian stamps hidden in a van.
According to NAV’s announcement on Tuesday, tax inspectors checked a van with French license plates coming from Romania on the M5 highway, when they found the cigarettes – behind the door upholstery on both sides of the vehicle, as well as behind the cover of the rear double, two-wing door and the cover of the front wall.
NAV staff seized the tobacco product worth HUF 2.3 million and initiated a procedure on suspicion of committing budget fraud, the announcement states.
