Traditional during the day, automatic at night: this will be the first Hungarian store operating without staff
According to the plans, the first remotely monitored stores in Hungary will start this summer. Thanks to the technology, traditional stores can remain open without the presence of staff after conversion, even in 24/7 mode. Laurel Kft. adapted the “mixed” model, which has already worked successfully in the Czech Republic, among others, to domestic conditions. The company will present its ready-made solution at its professional conference on May 15, the introduction of which is being prepared at several store networks. At the company, they see that the novelty not only brings progress for customers and traders, but can also help to deal with an increasing social problem.
“It is clear that even the largest global players in trade are looking for the most efficient and economical way to introduce automated stores. Amazon, for example, has recently backed away from the Just walk out concept and machine vision technology at its large stores. Our developed solution has a fully automatic mode and is even suitable for operating a container-sized store, but according to our analysis, the so-called hybrid model is currently in greater demand on the domestic market.”
– explained István Bessenyei, the owner of Laurel Kft.
