Fewer Hungarians worry about debt
Nielsen’s 2nd quarter survey (conducted in 60 countries) asked the question ‘What will be your biggest concern in the next six months?’ and while in the 3rd quarter of 2013 25 percent of Hungarians named personal debt, this ratio dropped to 19 percent in the 2nd quarter of 2014. It is noteworthy that in the last five surveys it was always Hungarian consumers who were worrying about their debts the most. Personal debt is more a characteristic of developed regions – this is why 6 percent is the global average of those who worry about their debts the most. The European average was 8 percent and in North America it was 11 percent
