NAK TechLab – real solutions for real problems
The National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) is launching the NAK TechLab large-company-startup program for the seventh time. The program aims to enable startups and leading industry players to jointly develop innovative solutions to the most pressing problems in agriculture. The featured partner for 2025 is AXIÁL Kft. and the Bonafarm Group.
The NAK TechLab program connecting large companies and startups is at the forefront of the digitalization of the agricultural sector in Hungary – the innovation challenges of AXIÁL Kft. and the Bonafarm Group not only bring technological development, but also strengthen the long-term competitiveness of agriculture. The program combines the creativity of startups, the expertise of large companies and professional support in order to ensure that Hungarian agriculture and the food industry can continue to develop in the coming years.
The significance of the program lies in the fact that it forms a bridge between domestic agriculture and technological innovators
It creates an environment where real industry players seek solutions to specific problems by involving startups. Startups develop solutions not only for theoretical but also for practical challenges, for which large companies provide resources and expertise, and validate the startups’ solutions, thus the developments are utilized faster in agriculture. AXIÁL Kft. is looking for developments that specifically increase the efficiency of large-scale arable crop production by simplifying, automating or reducing the costs of a mechanized subtask. The Bonafarm Group expects artificial intelligence and image recognition-based solutions in several areas, including: the development of a decision support system for plant protection interventions; automated animal health monitoring on cattle farms, or for example effective pest and bird alarms, but also solution proposals for the prevention of vole invasion are also expected.
They are looking for technology startups and development teams that can respond to these specific problems with working solutions
Participants will not only receive real-world market validation, but also receive agribusiness mentoring, pilot opportunities, and business support. The program’s professional partner is OUVC, part of Óbuda University, which also strengthens the selected teams with venture capital and investment mentoring.
