NAK: a slightl delay in the harvest in the eastern part of the country
Rainy weather has slowed down harvesting in the eastern part of the country, so instead of the usual end of July, the harvest is expected to end only in early August – the president of the National Chamber of Agriculture’s (NAK) field crop and supplier industry told MTI.
Petőházi Tamás added: since the beginning of July, more than 100 millimeters of rain has fallen in some places in the eastern counties, there is about 10 thousand hectares of inland water, and the harmfully wet area can be estimated at 20-30 thousand hectares. (MTI)
