NAK President: there are still reserves in Hungarian agriculture
“The Hungarian agriculture had successful years, but there are some sectors where there are still big reserves” – the chairman of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) told at the Western Hungarian Agricultural Forum in Pápa.
Győrffy Balázs said in a lecture that the Hungarian agriculture is capable to feed 18 – 20 million people. Currently only about sixty percent of the Hungarian agriculture is being utilized. In order to increase competitiveness, responses to technological advances should be given, and research and development and innovation must be strengthened – he added. (MTI)
