Declining milk sales at Danone in Europe

The operating profit of the Danone SA French food industrial group declined larger than expected in the first half of the year, partly because of the weak sales of dairy products in the European and the weak sales of baby foods in Asia.

According to Danone, the sales of milk products in Europe wilél be stabilized by the end of the year.

The company's operating profit fell by 10 percent to 1.180 billion euros in the six months lasted to the end of June. The company’s revenue fell to 10.47 billion euros from 11.06 billion euros of a year earlier. The experts expected higher operating profit; 1.208 billion euros. (privatbankar.hu, MTI)
