Dynamic expansion in the market of electric toothbrushes
Retail sales of toothpaste show stagnation, though sales grew by 5 per cent in terms of value last year and approached HUF 10 billion.. The sales of toothbrushes declined somewhat in terms of quantity. The average consumer price of toothpaste was 3 per cent higher last December than a year earlier. The market share of private labels remains between 4-6 per cent. The 51-75 millilitre segment accounts for the largest part of total sales, although the popularity of 76-100 millilitre tubes is growing. Hyper markets and drugstores both improved their respective market positions last year.
