Surge in television ad spending
The annual tea market was bigger than HUF 12 billion between June 2013 and May 2014. Sales contracted 1 percent in both value and volume. Stores with a floor space between 401m² and 2,500m² realised 32 percent of turnover and those bigger than 2,500m² were responsible for 34 percent of sales. As regards value, 84 percent of tea sold were manufacturer brands.
