Great performance at the London wine competition
Decanter World Wine Awards is the biggest wine competition in the world. This year the wines of 56 countries were competing and it took one month for the 116 experts to taste the 16,518 entries. Hungary won 6 platinum medals (those wines get this which score minimum 97 points from 100) with 5 Aszús and a sweet Szamorodni wine from Tokaj. However, it is noteworthy that the best-performing Hungarian wineries weren’t the usual big names but smaller ones – Juliet Victor, Harsányi Winery, Zsolt Maul – that came home with two medals.
