Producers in Tolna County have sown maize at a larger area, compared to last year. The rainfall in May was good for the spring-sown crops and the development of autumn sowing accelerated as well.
According to the data provided by the National Agricultural Chamber of Tolna County in May, a total of 81,000 hectares of maize were sown in the county in the spring, exceeding the area of last year’s harvest by more than ten thousand hectares.
