The characteristics of food products must be indicated with a larger font size

The mandatory included datas will be indicated with a bigger font size and more noticeable place on the packagings of pre-packaged food products in the future. This will help the customers to choose easier – the draft regulation on this was published on the government’s web site.

The Minister of Agriculture in the justification of the draft regulation underlines: the readability on the mandatory labeling in Hungarian was not the same size of the foreign-language terms. The new rule says, that fonts in Hungarian should be displayed at least the same size as the foreign language, on the packaging. (MTI)
