A great merger in the chocolate industry
The Lindt Swiss chocolate manufacturer is expanding in North America, which consumes a rival there. Lindt’s shares increased significantly after the news.
Lindt, announced today that the cimpany buys the U.S. Russell Stover candy manufacturing company.
The exact purchase price was not disclosed, but this is the largest acquisition in the history of Swiss chocolate manufacturer.
According to market informationshe news the price offered was around 1.4 billion USD.
With this step Lindt becomes the third largest player of the U.S. chocolate market. behind Hershey and Mars. (Investor.hu)
