Márton Nagy: cooperation between GFM and carriers is reaching a new level
In order to strengthen the transport and logistics sector in Hungary, the Ministry of Economic Development (GFM), the National Transport Industry Association of Private Entrepreneurs and the Association of Hungarian Road Transporters have concluded a cooperation agreement, the Minister of Economic Development announced at a press conference in Budapest on Friday.
Márton Nagy emphasized that logistics and transportation play an extremely important role in the economy, the sector, which includes almost 2,500 companies and employs more than 280,000 people, is the basis of economic growth.
In the agreement, the government undertook to raise the amount that can be reclaimed from the diesel excise tax to HUF 10, to introduce the minimum service fee, and thirdly, to maximize the number of subcontractors. There are three basic types of the minimum service fee: the minimum service fee – which is three times the road usage fee for the journey made -, in addition, the loading and pallet sorting fee is determined, the minimum amount of which is HUF 10,795 gross, as well as the downtime fee, which is at least HUF 8,636 gross HUF
