Márton Nagy: small pubs in small settlements can also apply for tourism support
Small pubs, bars and wine bars operating in settlements with fewer than a thousand inhabitants can apply for one billion forints, announced Minister of National Economy Márton Nagy.
The government’s 13 billion forint tourism program continues to roll, so far more than 3,300 restaurants, pastry shops, cafes and buffets have been supported, but now the program is being opened to small pubs as well, he added.
He noted: the small pub has always been the soul of the village. A tourist, catering or cultural meeting point.
According to the ministerial announcement, each small pub can spend a maximum of 3 million forints on operating costs, whether on utilities or wages, or even to finance energy efficiency investments.
